01. Introduction & Legal Status

HalalCortex (“HalalCortex”, “Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”) operates a digital certification management and verification infrastructure platform that facilitates halal certification workflows, audit coordination, compliance documentation storage, certificate verification, payment processing, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

HalalCortex acts strictly as a technology service provider and digital infrastructure facilitator. HalalCortex does not independently issue halal certifications unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

By accessing or using HalalCortex, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services.

02. Role of HalalCortex

For clarity of responsibility and regulatory compliance:

  • HalalCortex operates as a data processor and/or data controller, depending on the context of use.
  • Certification Bodies using HalalCortex may independently act as data controllers.
  • Applicants are responsible for ensuring the legality and accuracy of submitted data.

HalalCortex does not assume regulatory responsibility for certification decisions made by Certification Bodies.

3.1 Personal Information

  • Full legal name and contact details (email, phone)
  • Designation and employment details
  • Government-issued identification (where legally required)
  • Login credentials and digital signatures

3.2 Business & Certification Information

  • Company registration and manufacturing facility details
  • Product details and ingredient disclosures
  • Supply chain documentation and audit reports
  • Certification history and compliance records

3.3 Technical & Log Information

  • IP addresses and device identifiers
  • Access timestamps and login history
  • API interaction logs and security logs

  • Verification and public certificate validation
  • Platform security, fraud detection, and legal compliance

We do not sell personal data.

Users represent and warrant that all submitted information is accurate, lawful, and complete. HalalCortex is not responsible for inaccuracies, false declarations, or fraudulent submissions.

We do not store full card numbers or sensitive banking credentials.

  • Certified company name & Certificate number
  • Certification status & Validity dates

HalalCortex retains data for the duration of active engagement and as required by certification regulations, audit trail preservation, and statutory limitation periods.

By using the Services, you consent to cross-border transfers of data, subject to commercially reasonable safeguards and legal mandates in target jurisdictions.

We implement robust security safeguards including:

Note: No digital system is completely secure. HalalCortex disclaims liability for unauthorized access beyond reasonable control.

12. Data Breach Response

In the event of a confirmed data breach, HalalCortex will take reasonable steps consistent with applicable law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from such events.

13. User Rights

Subject to regulatory and legal requirements, users may request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing. Certain requests may be denied for audit integrity or compliance purposes.

14. Liability & Indemnification

HalalCortex’s total aggregate liability is limited to the amount paid by the user in the preceding twelve months. Users agree to indemnify HalalCortex against claims arising from false submissions or platform misuse.

15. General Provisions

Governing Law

Governed by the laws of India. Disputes subject to exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Mumbai/New Delhi.

Modifications

HalalCortex reserves the right to modify this policy. Continued use constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
